Introduction

Sailing is a wahter sport that involves controlling the dynamics of a boat propelled by the wind, without any kind of engine. This sport, can be recreational or competitive. The sailing competitions are called regattas. The sail requires the use of very specific terminology that largely avoids the possibility of errors or misunderstandings in their complex maneuvers. There are two kinds of ships: The ships called Monohulls (just one hull) and the ships called Multihulls (Two or more hulls). Even so, I will talk about Monohulls.
